Immersion

TEGEA produces immersion coatings with materials that are abrasive, scratch-resistant, acid-proof and resistant to chemical agents in general, as well as to water and oil.

The coatings obtained by immersion are particularly suitable for covering carpentry details or objects with irregular shapes, for which the production of moulds would be too onerous.

The immersion coatings cannot be too thick; normally the coating a maximum thickness equal to the thickness of the metal part (for example: a 2 mm thick tube may be coated with a maximum thickness of 2 mm.

The coatings are normally orange; other colours must be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

The finish is generally smooth, and there may be areas with drops, which slightly swells the coating.

TEGEA also presents its products paying attention to aesthetics, limiting this kind of  “defect” as much as possible.
